How we work
We are consultants, not a license.
Most forms products are rented: the code is private, the fees never end, and the product belongs to someone else. We work the other way. You pay for the work, and you own what it produces.
What you pay for, and what you own
| License fees | None. The platform is open source under the MIT license, with no GPL and no commercial license. |
|---|---|
| Our work | What you pay for: building, extending, integrating, and teaching. |
| Hosting | Yours to run. If you ask us to host, you pay the infrastructure cost. |
| The code | Yours, including what we write for you. |
| The deployment and the data | Yours, on infrastructure you choose. |
Built with AI
AI wrote the code. We decided what it should be.
KotlinDynamicRuntime, the open-source project under Gedra, was written by AI. We wrote the issues, one at a time, reviewed every change, and tested the result. Issue by issue, it reached the features of software we had spent years writing by hand.
We think this is how software will be made from now on, and we work this way for clients too: AI does the typing, and decades of experience do the judgment.
What that means for timelines. We expect even a sophisticated implementation, new functionality included, to take a couple of months. An integration such as single sign-on takes days.
Your developers can work with us
The best outcome of an engagement is that you no longer need us. Your developers can work alongside us from the start, learning how to extend Gedra with AI themselves. The platform was designed for that: its forms and workflows are configuration with a well-defined shape, which AI, including modest models, can write reliably.
An engagement, step by step
-
Tell us about your forms
Who fills them in, who reviews them, what happens in between, and which systems the data comes from and goes to.
-
See a first version early
Most of a Gedra application is configuration, so your forms and workflow run within days, and the conversation moves from documents to software.
-
We extend and integrate
What is unique to you, such as integrations, custom rules, and reports, we build as extensions to the platform, never as a fork of it.
-
You take the keys
Code, deployment, documentation, and a team that knows how to change it.
